Summary
During their visit to Monstropolis, Randall opens a door to collect more Scream. But, due to time flowing differently in each world, that door just happens to lead to a 7-year-old Sora's closet back home on Destiny Islands. Luckily, Riku is there and ready to prove that there's no such thing as monsters.

Summary
Yet another ‘Jim is a Changeling’ AU, with a twist! Instead of being canon-compliant for a while before Jim gets caught off-guard by turning trollish, he’s a Changeling in the usual way and aware that the human James Lake Junior is his Familiar.
Changeling Jim enjoyed his cover. Human food was far better than troll food. Dr Barbara Lake was an affectionate mother, but absent often enough that his duties to the Janus Order went unnoticed. The neighbour Toby was acceptable company and kept Jim from looking suspicious for having no friends his apparent age. Once in high school, he could slip reports directly to Stricklander along with mundane homework.
And then, of course, Merlin’s Amulet just had to choose Jim as the next Trollhunter.

Now he's shaking on the cold floor, teeth chattering, body burning, and the faces of those he betrayed swim before his eyes. The voices in his head get louder with every passing minute. His hands ache so badly he wants to scream.
But no one can know.
There's one pill left in the pouch. And Rudo would die for it.
The problem is, in this world, there are people who suddenly seem to want to save him. People who notice too much. People who don't leave, even when he snarls and snaps.
Especially one golden-eyed idiot who sticks his nose where it doesn't belong, sings stupid songs, and for some reason promises not to go anywhere.

It was a hot day.
The kind that melted your clothes to your skin with a sheen of sweat and the only reprieve was to lie against whatever cold surface was left, no matter how dirty it was. It was not atypical for the Ground, not in the slightest. Mountains of trash and minimal cover tended to make the Ground a toxic mixing pot at the best of times, decomposing matter releasing its humid rot as it continued to decay. A miserable existence for the many that lived in the shadow of the Sphere.
