    “So you mean,” starts Stanley, hesitant, hardly believing what’s being asked here.

    “Yes,” Xeno finishes the statement. “Senku is emailing me for dating advice.”

    It doesn’t matter, really, if Stanley is gay. Xeno doesn’t give a shit if he is. Romance is a distraction people invent when they don’t have anything better to do.

    But Stan is his. That’s just a fact.

    Stanley follows him around like gravity, orbiting every idea and plan Xeno comes up with. He’s taken the fall for Xeno’s experiments in the past, helps him skirt the law to get what he needs. He writes from Afghanistan asking about Xeno’s research. He listens to Xeno’s angry rants when people get on his nerves. He holds all of Xeno’s past. If Xeno ever bothers to build a future that involves other people, Stanley will probably be in it too.
