He’s long accepted that he’s only human, that a deity like Sanemi wouldn’t fall in love with a mortal, but he thought their friendship solid. As solid as a god made of lightning and water and wind could be, that is.
"Giyuu," Shinobu speaks up again, her voice wavering. She sounds like she’s barely keeping her head above the water, despite it still being at her waist. "You angered a god and he is exacting his revenge. We’ll have to offer up a bride now, and you will be the one to offer her. You have to make amends, hear me? You have to, or we’ll all go under."

Giyuu startled at the sudden voice in his mind and dropped the pen. "W-What?" He gasped.
"What? I didn't say anything," Sanemi grouched with a scowl.
For awhile, Giyuu had his doubts about this telepathy thing being real or just a trick of his mind. Now though, he's a 100% sure that it's definitely imaginary because there is no way in hell Sanemi would ever have those thoughts about him.
