Summary
“Ya know what- sure kid. You go right ahead.” Asuma, earnestly, passes it to Iruka who holds it clumsily in his hand. The kid stares at it before replicating what he’s been watching Asuma do for the past two years. He puts it to his lips and inhales while Asuma holds out the light, staring at him intensely.
It only takes half a second for Iruka to break.
His face goes red and he lets out a choking cough, shoving the cigarette back towards Asuma like it had burned him, eyes watering and trying to catch his breath.
or
Iruka might have (some) abandonment issues.

Summary
Kageyama Tobio is a professional racing driver, the new rookie sensation who's about to take home the Piston Cup in his first year.
But a race run recklessly leads to an unprecedented three-way tie, and a tie breaker race is set for a week's time. On the way to the International Speedway, Kageyama gets lost, and ends up crashing into Karasuno Springs - a small country town in the middle of nowhere, ruining their main road in the process. Forced to stay and fix it, Kageyama feels the whole thing is a waste of time, until he meets the town's handyman - Hinata Shouyou, a local dirt track racer.
They're very different, but a shared passion for racing draws Kageyama in, as he tries to work out why Hinata is just a handyman in the first place despite his talent for racing. And over the course of the week he ends up discovering that maybe there's more to life than winning races all by himself.
(A racing AU; based on the story of Pixar's Cars, but everybody is human.)

Summary
Peter felt the pain of his body trying to knit itself together even as it was torn apart. His spidey-sense screaming at him of the danger, danger that he couldn't escape. He begged anyway, begged Mr. Stark to save him. He knew it wasn't fair on the man... he did it anyway. Holding back tears, Peter apologized to his mentor as he fades away into dust.
Green, a bright fluorescent Green fills his vision, he's drowning in it. Drowning. He can't breathe, the green fills his nostrils, his mouth, his lungs. Until he isn't, he's not drowning and he breathes in desperately, coughing out the green liquid as he greedily gasps for air.
There's no one to tell Peter he's okay, not the warming presence of his Aunt, the scent of cinnamon to fill his nostrils, nor the motor oil he'd become so familiar with from his mentor. He was well and truly alone in this cold, dark world.
Would he find a way home? Or would he have to create a new one in the unfamiliar world?
(I've set this work as Mature for the heavy mentions and depictions of self-harm and suicidal thoughts)

Summary
She wakes up in a massacre, drool and blood dripping down the front of her shirt as she stares emptily at the two dead bodies before her.
A part of her mind is screaming, howling at the memories of countless deaths carved into it and the burning betrayal of his brother.
The other is sobbing hysterically at the memory of hands that took and took until there wasn’t anything left to take.

It takes her months to come to terms with the fact that she’s not dead but alive and trapped in the body of a six-year-old little boy whose brother had massacred his entire family. She feels disconnected from the world she's awaken in, where children are being taught to kill and she's living in the same house the boy saw his family be slaughtered in and no one seems to care.
Being reborn isn't fun.
Being reborn as Uchiha Sasuke is a mess and a half.
