With the start of a new season comes new gossip, fresh from the vines of giggling debutantes and gossiping mamas that I lovingly pluck for your enjoyment.
Our newest diamond, the esteemed Lady Scott Major, was a rather odd choice by our Queen. But then again, perhaps our Queen was simply too occupied with her latest flight of fancy to focus on picking a proper diamond. Sir Scar Hawkeye, disgraced and banished only to return at the arm of Queen Griande, not even washing the dirt off his gloves!
The diamond has taken full advantage of his newest status, seen with a different poor boy every ball and fête, uncaring of the hearts he breaks and reputations he ruins– not that his own could take any more battering…

They didn't send a Bhaalist, Gortash realized, blankly. They sent a Bhaalspawn.
There had been rumors, of course; there were always rumors. None from anyone he'd consider remotely trustworthy, though, given that few could have knowingly laid eyes on one and survived to gossip.
What other explanation could there be? This thing, this beast devouring its prey mere feet away from him—there was no semblance of rational thought in the way its eyes burned in hunger and feral delight. Gortash gripped his small knife harder, and wished he'd brought something with a little more punch to it. He couldn't just stand here all night, however, plastered against the wall, hoping he'd somehow escape the creature's notice. Surely it was an optimistic sign that he still drew breath?

“I’m?” The angel looked somewhat amused, his features softening as he looked at Damen.
Damen had no answer, the reply already slipped from his hazy mind.
“Let’s get you outta here, big boy,” the love of Damen’s life said gently, with an expression that one could only describe as fond.
