Why did she ever think that the Wheel intended her to find the Dragon Reborn? Maybe she‘d been sent on the fool quest just to get her out of the way. What if she was the reason the Light would lose, unless she was tucked away in some backwater village? Tomorrow, she and Lan were leaving for the next round of their search. She expected it to be as fruitless and dull as the rest.

She insisted on unsaddling her own horse and sleeping on hard ground. She tried to make it appear as if she was sound asleep, but it was clear to him that she startled at the smallest sound. Years later, when he reminded her of it, she corrected him, saying that she had succeeded. That his recollection had been clouded.
