Maddie swallowed around the lump in her throat.
“Please don’t do that,” she whispered shakily as tears sprang into her eyes.
Buck frowned.
“Don’t make garlic bread? But–Mads, you love garlic bread.”
“Please don’t hide from me,” she corrected.
Or: Buck won't talk to Maddie about what happened in New Mexico. Maddie, worried about her brother, lets him know that she’s there and willing to listen.

Summary
Harry is a child. Why is it his job to save the school? Why is it his job to do anything other than attend classes and do homework?
It’s not his job, but it seems Dumbledore is trying to make it Harry’s job.
And well, after living with the Dursleys so long only to end up under the thumb of a brand new manipulator, can Harry really be blamed for running away?
If no one else sees value in Harry, then it’s Harry’s job to find value in himself. That is a job he can live with.

Summary
Anybody who is familiar with the Potions and Snitches site knows that it's a site predominantly about various relationships between Harry and Snape - it has everything you could think of - except Slash.
I found this challenge on that site, and it's called Just Pretending (For Christmas) :
Severus is in big trouble. He doesn't have any kids, but he's supposed to be bringing his son to Christmas to meet his family, who he's been estranged from for twelve or thirteen (or more) years. Harry ends up being that pretend son.
