Lorenzo tuts slightly, “That is not all, maman. The Duke has said he wants his son to be betrothed by the end of this season as well. He is a well-known alpha among his peers, seeing as he will take the role of Duke once his father passes on. He is likely to be the most sought-after alpha this season. But his father has said he wants his son to be introduced to Charles especially and he hopes that Charles will grant him his first dance of the season.”
Charles jolts and the modiste glares up at him, needle poised at the ready. She might just stab him purposely this time around. He tries to smile apologetically, but his face only manages a small grimace. She rolls her eyes and goes back to hemming the bottom with the delicate white lace that matches the top and sleeves.
His reaction could be taken as a surprise at such a title as the Duke’s son taking a liking to him, but really, his surprise is at the alpha in question.

Summary
Max feels his heart rate spike the second he hits upload and posts a picture to his Grindr account. The picture is not of his face and it's not like he has any identifying tattoos or anything so he's pretty sure someone isn't going to identify him from it.
Charles goes to lock the screen he bursts out laughing, it's his own fault for leaving his phone unattended earlier in the night but there in pride of place amongst his apps is Grindr. As he opens it up he realises that whoever took it upon themselves to download the app has also very kindly set him up a profile.

They have unresolved business. They will always have.
But Max is composed and Charles is fraying at the edges. Somehow, Max is always a step ahead.
