The healer’s smile slowly faded away, the rain now growing into a storm. Subspace was gaining colour. Pink horns, black eyes, and red blood. Red tainted his vision until its the only hue he saw, painting his walls, his floor, and his hands in cruel splashes. Right, he got carried away. Subspace’s dead. Subspace died in his arms.

Summary
Viktor doesn’t want to be here. It had taken a lot of pleading, losing a bet, and even more pleading before Jayce had managed to drag him to the party, so, yes, of course he’s miserable.
Not that Jayce expected him not to be, though, to be fair to his partner. In all his begging he had verbally batted away Viktor’s attempts to put the words you’ll enjoy it when you get there into his mouth with an insistence that he doesn’t even enjoy these evenings much. And that Viktor owes him at least one, please, Vik, even if you hate it.
So, Viktor caved. And now he’s here. Hating every boring second.

Summary
Jayce never really believed in ghosts.
But after Viktor dies, the house won’t stop echoing. A familiar voice in the hallway. Two cups left out. The dent of a body on Viktor’s side of the bed. And eventually, the voice becomes clearer. The silence begins to answer back.
And maybe—if Jayce keeps the curtains drawn, the rug crooked, the cardigan folded just right—Viktor will stay.
