Chuuya gets afflicted with a truth ability and he tries to contact Dazai for protection. Dazai doesn't answer his phone and misses Chuuya's messages. Mori calls and commands him to come in. With no other options he goes.
Dazai calls back too late and Mori answers, explains the situation and leaves Dazai on the line as he starts questioning Chuuya.
Chuuya can temporarily not answer but it causes pain.

He has damp strands of hair sticking to his neck and face, and his skin feels sticky from the cheap shower gel. But he’s clean.
He’s clean of dirt and ash and blood. It’s gone from his skin and his hair and if Chuuya doesn’t look too hard in the mirror he can almost pretend that none of this happened.
He can almost imagine a life where he was never in that lab, where he never had his own ability hijacked, where he never joined the Port Mafia, and where he didn’t come so close to death tonight. Almost. But not entirely.
OR
Chuuya's mental health is declining and he decides to use Corruption without Dazai, leading to an uncomfortable encounter once Dazai gets there anyway.

Every single surface, including the ceiling, is covered in powdery sprays of castoff flour. Eggshells, empty of their contents, lay like so many corpses on one counter, while batter and other substances congeal on the remaining three. Metal racks keep delicate pizzelles, madeleines, palmiers, macarons, and mille-feuille hovering above the mess as they cool.
And in the center of it all, form suspended in mid-air and glowing red with For The Tainted Sorrow, is Chuuya.
