    Summary

“You were drunk. I know it didn’t mean anything. Everything’s alright.”

Buck visibly winces. “That’s not — Eddie.”

There’s a suspended moment where Buck looks torn, standing on the edge of something, eyes fixed on the horizon to avoid looking at the drop, the precipitous canyon below. But then Buck, who can’t lie, who would tear his own chest open to a complete stranger on the street because the truth of him spills so loudly out of every jagged edge, sighs out:

    “It meant something.”

There’s a ringing sound somewhere in the distance, getting closer. “What are you…” Eddie trails off.

“I wasn’t — well, I was drunk. But that wasn’t what. Wasn’t why. Not entirely, or — god.” Buck shudders in a breath, steeling himself. “I have feelings for you.” He closes his eyes. “I’m so sorry.”

    ~

Buck confesses his feelings. Eddie’s straight. If he spends all his time thinking about Buck and looking at Buck and wanting to be around Buck, well, that’s just being a good friend, isn’t it? He’s being so normal about this, actually.

    Summary

Eddie answers on the third ring. “Buck?” His voice is rough with sleep, low and gravelly. “Do you know what time it is?”

Buck tries to lift his phone to his mouth, but the motion of his shoulder curling forward shifts his wing again, the tip of one brushing against the sheets. They’re huge. Bigger than he can process. He still can’t make himself look.

The only thing that escapes him is a soft, pained whimper.

Eddie suddenly seems a lot less tired. His voice sharpens instantly. “What’s going on? Are you hurt?”

Another whine tears from Buck as the pain flares, muscles along the top of the wings tensing, fluttering behind him. He can see their span now, crowding the edges of his vision—and somehow, it feels like they’re still growing.

“E-Eddie,” he chokes out. “I-I don’t know. There’s so much blood.”

OR Buck wakes up with wings tearing themselves out of him. Eddie soothes the pain.

Buck and Eddie take a wrestling class. It shouldn't change anything between them right?

Inspired by those two (German?) wrestlers all over my fyp. I haven't learned anything about fighting but trust when i say I've learned some things 😏

    Summary

Buck maneuvers them backward, guiding Eddie by the hips until he’s flush against the counter, bracketed in tight with Buck standing fully between his legs. One of Buck’s hands cradles the back of Eddie’s neck, thumb resting at the base of his skull, a possessive little pressure point that sends sparks straight down his spine. The other slips beneath his shirt and stays there, palm flat against his bare stomach, heat seeping into him like a slow infection.

“God,” Buck says, almost pitying. “You’re shaking.”

“I’m not,” Eddie lies, breath catching as Buck’s thumb brushes a line just above the waistband of his jeans.

“You are. You’ve got a full-body hard-on and nowhere to put it.”

Buck grins against his mouth, nipping once at his bottom lip before pulling away just enough to look down.

“I mean, you’re so fucking hard. Did the cornfield do it? Or was it the blood type?”

    Or,
Eddie thinks Buck's sexy cowboy romance novel is ridiculous. No one on earth finds “claimed like the prairie” sexy. Buck takes that as a personal challenge and proves Eddie wrong in the most humiliating way possible.

    Summary

“C'mere," Buck says, sitting up to scoot closer to Eddie.

"What are you doing?” Eddie asks, and Buck sighs.

"You can just kiss me, get a taste of the lip balm, and tell me what flavour you think it is.”

    Eddie can’t believe his ears.

"That is such a stupid way to win a bet, Buck."

    “Oh so you concede?"

Eddie rolls his eyes, shaking his head before planting both hands on the sides of Buck's face and hauling him in to press their lips together.

    OR

Buck and Eddie make a bet on whether or not Eddie can guess all of Buck's lip balm flavours, and in order for Eddie to get a taste, they have to kiss.
