Assaulting Olympus when a prophecy, despite what the Fates say, was rigged against him? Merely a ruse to something greater.
No, with Gaea rising and the emperors of old waiting in the wings, it was not the opportune time to take Olympus. Let them think that they had vanquished him. Let them enjoy their false victory. Let his children and their offspring defeat the opposition for him, clearing a path for his ascension.
But for now, he will march willingly to his defeat. As with the (unwilling) assistance of the child of Hermes, two of the three cyclopes that forged weapons of the Olympians, his most trusted titans, and an unfulfilled prophecy, Olympus will be his.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war.

Percy Jackson, um adolescente comum, conseguia ver as flores e sabia que era especial por isso. As flores o levavam para onde o destino queria, o guiou até o caminho certo, o ajudou nos momentos mais críticos, revelou o caráter daqueles que ele se aproximava apenas com um olhar; indicava passado, presente e futuro.

Só assim ele conseguiu escapar da morte mais vezes do que pode contar e encontrou aquilo que mais precisava em sua vida: amor.

Summary

After a small, seemingly unimportant quest, Percy and Nico are cursed by a flighty goddess. Periodic spells of intense pain that can only be soothed by each other's touch.

As Nico looks for a solution to their predicament, Percy tries to keep his life going, with the knowledge they can't stay away from each other for long.

Ironically, despite being forced together, Percy and Nico are driven further apart as they try to separate their growing, confusing feelings from the curse.

‘You’re sure about this?’ There is a pleading undertone to Nico’s voice. ‘I can’t change your mind?’
Percy’s rebuttal is gentle, almost uncharacteristically soft, but determined all the same.
‘You can’t.’
‘You’re being selfish!’ Nico’s anger damn near splits the ground open, even though the cracks fade nearly as quickly as they begin to form. ‘Think about what you’re leaving behind, think about it from our— we’re your friends, Percy—’
‘Nico.’ The single word is enough to stop Nico dead in his tracks (because it always is, because he’s never been able to deny Percy anything, not even this…). ‘I made up my mind. And you promised.’

Nico doesn’t know how to answer that, there are too many possibilities and his brain-to-mouth filter is fucked at the moment, so he turns his attention back to the screen, watching Linderman talk down to Nathan. This show is fucked up, he decides. He kind of loves it. He’s drawn to things that mess with his head, the evidence is sitting beside him, shoving a chocolate into his mouth.
They watch one episode, and then they watch another, and another, and somehow the bottle of vodka is almost empty and Nico is slouched against Percy, tucked into the space he avoided earlier. He fits perfectly; his side is pressed to Percy’s chest and he can feel Percy’s breath on his neck.
“Percy,” he whispers after another episode. He feels Percy’s hair brush his cheek and knows his attention is on him. “Why are you really here?”
(valentine's day with nico and percy. includes heroes, vodka and candles. oh, and pining.)
