    Summary

Prison was nothing new for Whirl. Sunstreaker had been in a few as well. But while Whirl was able to shake off what they’d experienced at the hands of their captors, something inside Sunstreaker was damaged and left him broken and withdrawn.

Once they were rescued, Whirl found himself in the odd position of doing everything in his power to convince Sunstreaker to stay alive. After all, self destruction was Whirl's job, and no one on the Lost Light was allowed to do it harder than he was. That was what Whirl kept telling himself, anyway. What he wasn’t expecting was for them to turn the trauma into a bonding experience.

And in the process, Sunstreaker realized that sometimes all it took to make you want to live again was one person proving that they gave a damn about you despite everything.

    Summary

The human did not turn around, instead remained gazing out into space, his figure limned in the faint glowing reflection of himself, pale and blanched, an imperfect blur of features in the dim lights of ship’s night. “It’s a poem, Spock. By a man named Robert Bly. Late twentieth century, something like that.”

“I see.” Spock found himself walking slowly forward to stand beside the Captain, looking where he looked and seeing nothing but great expanses of darkness. The spackling of stars had the illusion of being very small but near to the eye, though he knew that they were much further and larger than even his logical mind could truly comprehend. “Are you the boy or the pond?”

    Summary

Prompt from the Star Trek XI Kink Meme on lj. Prompt: K/S. So, this idea kind of hit me out of nowhere. Pretty much following the tradition of aliens-made-them-do-it [only kind of inverted], in which Kirk and Spock end up at a planet where they are not allowed to touch each other [due to religious issues, politeness protocol, whatever].

    Summary:
Anticipation was not an emotion Spock had intended to allow himself to feel; yet, it made itself known despite him, and that it was never satisfied made it harder to suppress, each time the Captain walked past or stood near and conscientiously avoided even the brush of their sleeves.
