Like a laughably, ridiculously pretty girl, nearly half a foot shorter than Rhaenyra, with curling red hair streaming down her back. She stood right in front of her, uncomfortably close, with these big, dark eyes almost as teary as Rhaenyra’s own.
Her anger dissolved at once.

"What business, indeed," Rhaenyra says, eyes and mouth and voice gone flat, before looping her arm through the crook of Alicent's own and steering her down the length of the corridor while Alicent seethes at this mimicry of their girlhood years, of the times they only bore love for each other. The facade breaks when Rhaenyra guides her inside one of the castle's many unknown rooms and pushes Alicent up against the door; she braces an arm over Alicent's head, lip curled, and for the span of a breath Alicent's eyes drop to Rhaenyra's mouth.
