Otherworldly steel spreads across his body, his limbs twitch, the hand cupping Zhongli’s face turning cold, strange. Zhongli catches Childe’s wrist, pushing it away milliseconds before steel claws can tear his face in half.
His back isn’t as lucky. Sharp metal sinks into his flesh when Childe’s stronger, bigger, demanding hips jerk, urging Zhongli to move like he had a moment ago.
But ah, what is stronger—steel born from another world or the rock, the foundation that built this one?
