All Shane wanted was to go out to a bar and drink until he stopped feeling so fucking miserable about Rozanov. Simple. Guys did it all the time to get over girls, didn’t they? Not that he was trying to get over Rozanov. That would imply he had ever been into Rozanov, and what they did wasn’t that.
Shane would've stayed home to try this particular getting-over-a-girl ritual he had heard so much about, but it was midseason, and he didn't keep alcohol in his house during the season.
