    Following the reopened case of Truck Sugar and an ill-fated drawling of straws, Homicide's Cold Case Unit Detectives Lilly Rush and Scotty Valens were sent to Nashville, Tennessee. The Volunteer State provided hospitality, justice and a flow of moonshine that lowered inhibitions and led Lilly and Scotty into bed, boots knocked and rocked. However a quick escape to Philadelphia under the guise of a lie won't undo what's been done, and soon the keen eye of Kat Miller sees the signs of the not so subtle changes in her fellow detective, who's set on reasoning it all away. Truly, though, reason and logic both fly out the window when love is involved, certainly a love like this that needs no invitation nor dismissal. Lilly and Scotty found themselves partners in a whole new way, as well on love's timetable, going forward.
