Will came to Mike in a hug, and Mike breathed in his scent: strawberries, paper, and salt from the sweat. It sounded ridiculous, but Will smelled more like sunshine now that he was out of the castle.
“How are you?” Will whispered, whilst Hopper grunted, uncomfortable by the romantic display.
“Better,” Mike said, tugging Will away from the irritable man and inside the house. “Glad you’re here.”
Will gave Mike an exasperated look. “You have to stop worrying. I was gone for only three hours, and I was with El.”
You don’t get it. Mike wanted to scream. There are people after you.

Summary
A desperation seized Mike, but not one of escape. One that had come from deep within his soul, something that made his breaths quicken much more than Vecna’s tentacles. One that he’d experienced traces of numerous times: when Will had left for Lenora, when Will was back in the hospital after surviving the Upside Down. Even when he’d crossed paths with Will in the Wheeler house’s hallway. It was there whenever he saw Will.
Mike stared into Will’s eyes, taking a grounding breath.

Will pressed his face to the glass, wishing that he were closer. The man’s cheeks were pale, having thick eyebrows and lips. His nose was long, though it didn’t disrupt the harmony of the man’s features. His eyes were the most captivating part of his face: wide and brown, reflecting the moonlight.
In other words, he was beautiful.
Will found himself blushing, feeling foolish for swooning over the knight, who clearly was just doing his job. He couldn’t help but itch for his parchment and ink, to see the man up close, take in those eyes when they weren’t forced to remain a disciplined neutral.

Summary
Golden was all that surrounded Mike.
It reflected off the grass from the sun’s evening rays, tinted the clouds a fuzzy pastel yellow. It carried through the air in fresh spring flowers, passing into his body and out again as his lungs breathed.
He could feel it too, a warmth inside him. It came from the sun hitting his face, the grass which swished, parting easily for his feet.
Most of all, he could feel it in the boy beside him. Will.
AKA: My interpretation of Mike's POV of the heart-to-heart/flirting scene between Mike and Will in season 5, episode 4.

“I don’t… I’ve never done this before,” Mike’s voice wavers as he speaks, a testament to how vulnerable he feels. On his knees, Will’s hard cock held in his hand, waiting to be serviced. It’s a stupid thing to say, and he cringes at himself right after the words leave his mouth. Obviously Will knows he hasn’t sucked a dick before. Obviously Will knows he’s a total fucking virgin, and has no earthly idea what he’s doing.
“Yeah, no shit,” Will laughs, and is incredibly amused when Mike looks down all shy and embarrassed. Amused, but also affectionate in an all too familiar way. He cups Mike’s burning face with one hand, his touch tender as he lets his thumb graze over his cheekbone. “Do you want to stop?”
“No. No, I want to,” Mike says without hesitation, leaning into Will’s hand like a touch starved puppy, “I just- I-I don’t know how. I want to do it right. I wanna be good for you.”
“If you really want to be good for me, you’ll stop talking and put my dick in your mouth.”
A jealousy fueled confrontation ends with Mike on his knees at Will’s feet. Or, Mike is a pathetic, desperate, yearning loser and Will walks him like a dog.
