Summary
Nolan is down on his luck, he needs a job, he needs to pay the bills, he needs to help his sister out, but he can't. It doesn't help that with the advancement of AI that some people actually see drones as people who deserve to be able to fit into society, to have jobs, making it even harder for him.
And then his ex comes back into his life, offering a job in killing AI, making a fortune, and turning people against them. It just sounds too good, especially the fortune.
But of course, he had to fall for one of the drones he was supposed to kill. Biscuits.

I like the idea of real AI, not generative AI to be clear. This was not made with AI nor is it a defense for any companies relying on AI over people, this is just a fun thought I had after I had a thought of the first Avatar movie and Murder Drones.

It's been under a month since Arnold escaped that factory with the killer endoskeleton in it and subsequently took in said endoskeleton. This would be the first time he'd be seeing his son since then, the first time the endoskeleton - David - would meet his son.
You'll have to forgive him for being nervous at how the night could go.

Summary
Welcome to "Something's Strange in Coppersville", a collaborative AU project from the minds of the Archives Discord.
This project is a collection of loosely connected one-shots set in a shared AU of Murder Drones, located in a small town hidden away in Appalachia. Half the townsfolk are some form or other of supernatural beings, and the other half are quite intent on not finding that out.
Some projects here connect together while others can be read as completely standalone. Every timeline/interpretation is canon here by virtue of this town is surrounded by a weirdness bubble in which time and reality distort and change every single time you blink or look away. Some authors may attach a secondary series to their personal shots/ficlets to collect an anthology of their personal timeline/interpretation of the AU.
Yes the organization is weird here but that's part of the charm. It's meant for you to dive in and read random fics at different intervals or cherrypick whichever ones sound fun to read based on the tags. Think of it like a book of short stories rather than one solid longfic that spans many chapters.

Yes, there were many failings in their upbringing of the Force's son, and Mace would not see those mistakes repeated. It would be his very first step in undoing the web Palpatine had spun over the galaxy: robbing him of his future apprentice before the Sith even knew it was an option.
Anakin Skywalker would be brought up right, under his tutelage, instead of by a grieving, freshly knighted Kenobi who was in no position to fill the role they so cruelly foisted upon him in the wake of his Master's death. He would personally give him the proper upbringing he deserved.
Of course, what Mace Windu didn't know was that over half the people in the room were thinking the same thing.
Or, every Jedi Master who could have possibly known Anakin turned into Vader time traveled to right before Anakin's test in Phantom Menace and fight to become his master, each thinking they are the only one who can avert galactic destruction.
