Summary
A collection of little one shots that I wrote for different writing prompts on Tumblr. Rating changed to explicit because some chapters have smut.
"Each milestone in healing and recovery was celebrated. A hard earned victory for them both. Each step taken together. As in sync then as they had been in battle, knowing when to step in and when to let Shepard do it himself. It had been a long journey to get where they were now but Kaidan wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
He cherished every moment, good and bad, because those moments had brought them here, to this place, to this point in his life. To be here, with this man sleeping at his side, it meant…it meant everything."

Summary
A continuation of the Mass Effect story focused on the mShepard/Kaidan romance and based on the Synthesis ending, interpreted such that Synthesis gave the galaxy's organics a form of cybernetic empathy-- with each other, and eventually with synthetics.
"A Longer Haul" follows the development of Kaidan & (spacer vanguard) Hadrian Shepard's relationship in ME3's 'unseen' moments, up to the final battle for Earth, and Kaidan's despair at the loss of Shepard, and the lengths he and the crew of the Normandy will go to for the rumoured hope of resurrecting the galaxy's hero.
"Disconnected" tells the story of the Puritan incursion. As the galaxy rebuilds and adapts to 'synthempathy,' aliens from beyond the Milky Way who object to Synthesis and its "subversion of nature" invade to un-do the effects of the Crucible Day Event, and the crews of the Normandy and SSV Vimy Ridge search for a way to repel a technologically superior race fighting a remote-control war.
And in the works now is the final installment, "Integration." With the first post-Reaper Invasion elections about to set the agenda for the new galaxy, all the chickens come home to roost.

Summary
The reapers are gone, but John took a heavy blow to the head during the final push and paid a steep price. Retrograde Amnesia. How much he's changed over the years doesn't go unnoticed, and in return, affects Kaidan most of all. After the two finally found each other, the latter learns that the road to their 'Happily Ever After' has a few more obstacles waiting for them. The first being John not remembering him at all.

Summary
Many died during the Reaper War, many lost everything, their homes, their family, their loves. Those who lived had to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. We know of the Normandy and the heroes aboard the mighty ship. This is not their story. This is a story of a soldier, no acclaims to honor his name, no great tales spoken of his heroism. He fought for earth, for his family, for his love. This is his story, his journey and his recovery from the events witnessed and experienced.
It begins Post Reaper War, referencing his experiences through flashbacks, journal entries, dreams and third person narrative.

Summary
This is a set of stories of various lengths and formats from the time period of Mass Effect 1, with a focus on Commander John Shepard and Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko. Shepard knows that he and Kaidan make a great team on missions together and he trusts him to always have his back. Kaidan sees that as his personal mission.
This is prior to any acknowledged relationship between them beyond the professional and their deepening friendship.

Summary
Commander Shepard is a legend: First Human Spectre, Hero of the Citadel, Savior of the Galaxy. In the middle of the war, he finds he'd rather be less legend and more human. Summary
A year since the end of the Reaper War and life slowly returns to normal for everyone in the galaxy. Shepard's understanding of normal although, is different from most other people. Secretly, he misses the thrill of adventure, of battle, and a chance to save at least one more life.
As some people say, be careful what you wish for, and now Shepard is sent on a mission to rescue a little girl, whom Cerberus intends to use in their plan of restarting the end of the world.
