Summary
In shocking news today, a video has surfaced of Gotham’s local vigilante Batman apparently killing a man in order to save the mass murderer known as Joker. The confrontation occurred in an abandoned building and culminated in an explosion, which sources in the police department say may correspond to the unsolved bombing of a condemned apartment building two months ago. A body found at the crime scene lends credence to the connection and to the authenticity of the video.
Or: Gotham sees her hero saving Joker again, but this time they also find the body of the man he killed to do it. Nobody is very happy about this. Meanwhile, Jason comes to terms with Bruce slitting his throat, and a plot unfolds to Wreck Batman's Shit.- Language:

He’s nine again– nine and new and knows so many things now so rather than try to go back–
He thinks he has the chance to make things right.
The bright blue trainers he puts on are a pair he hasn’t worn in forever, something he never thought about after he grew out of them (will grow out of?) a year from now, and sets off into the night and into the rain.
The plan he has in his brain is not really a plan, moreso just a couple of half thrown ideas and maybe five steps into building back the life he had in the most painless way he could.
Maybe, he thinks, maybe this plan can start off with the family he misses– because he’s sixty and most of them too injured or too old or too dead–
Call him selfish but he misses them. He would rather find them than get himself back into that lonely existence he called a life before he woke up at nine.
Dick makes do because that’s all he can do really.

Tim didn’t look up a single time as he walked. One hand held Kon’s warm, soft skin while the other desperately tried not to crush the flowers, and his fists cracked and burned from the cold air. His feet dragged through the dirt, kicking away the dirt and rocks in his path.
He turned his head onto Kon’s shoulder once he recognized they were getting closer. He was shaking, and he wanted to run away. It was hard even to be there. Waking up was a strenuous task, and he had to be coaxed out of bed. Coming here was always hard, but thankfully, he wasn’t alone this year.
They stopped in front of his dad’s grave and saw the dirt and moss growing on the headstone.

So, Dick collapses.
It comes out of nowhere. They’re in the kitchen one rare morning that they both have off. Wally is trying to follow his dad’s old recipe for French Toast, and Dick is doing the laundry. There’s easy banter and flirting and tired kisses with too much stubble because neither of them have shaved yet. Wally jokes about growing out a beard. Dick says he’ll leave him first - and easy on the sugar, he’s watching his hips. Dick goes into the laundry room and Wally calls to him down the hall about grabbing his phone or something from the bedroom.
No answer.
Wally calls him again. Dick walks out of the laundry room in a bit of a daze. Wally asks him what’s wrong. Again, Dick doesn’t answer. He just looks up at Wally and... drops.
