Summary
If there's one thing that Aether feels he cannot do, it's that he can't let his family down.
After rushing across Sumeru, Liyue, and then through Mondstadt, he collapses in the Angel's Share, only to start being smothered by those who care too much. Feeling like a burden, his only goal is to retreat and escape.
What he doesn't realize is the depths and the distances that the people who he cares for will go to to keep him safe, and make sure he is well. While his real family seems to slip further away, his found family reminds him that he's still loved, even if he's not ready to hear it yet.Starts in Mondstadt, bringing in Characters from Liyue, then from Sumeru!

Pink . Pink bunnies. Legend was a—he could turn into a pink rabbit. There weren’t any other rabbits that were pink except—-
“What the hell?” Twilight sputtered, words failing him. “How—what—?”
“That’s exactly how I feel!” Sky wailed, running a hand through his hair. “What does this mean? Ravio dresses up as a rabbit, they have a ton of rabbit decorations around…Legend can talk as a rabbit, so he must be able to communicate in rabbit-language. Animal-language.”
Baby bunnies. Sky…Was he right? How would—-how did that even…
Twilight gulped. How long did Legend spend as a rabbit after all?

In which Ravio gifted Legend a bunch of baby bunnies and dyed their fur pink as a total joke. Legend calls them his children.

Four stares. “…What?”
Warriors gestures with the shovel like he’s conducting an orchestra of despair. “Fair treatment. Reasonable expectations. The right to not dig a sewage trench while sobbing.”
Four’s mouth twitches with amusement. “You were sobbing?”
“That’s not the point.”
“Get back to your task.” Four says.
Warriors leans in, unblinking. “Do you know what Time did today.”
Four deadpans. “Assigned chores.”
“He weaponised competence.” Warriors hisses. “He punished skill. He saw us as mere tools. Cogs in the machine my friend!”
Or: Time creates a chore rota, naturally Warriors unionises.
