Summary
It's been four days since the Ghost King killed Joker and things are already shifting in Gotham, the remaining Rogues restless and a gang war so clear in the horizon, Jason could already smell the smoke and blood.
But the Ghost King Answering his Call led to strange things happening to Jason and there's only so long he can keep this wretched fire inside his chest from burning him and everything he holds dear.
And Danny? Danny has been running for a long time. He never thought Gotham would be the place to finally stop and rest, so cold and uninviting that even his ice core couldn't help him. Lady Gotham was surely not making it any easier on him. And there was this whole thing with the Red Hood, too..

He looked at Hiro. Studied him. Hiro had his eyes closed, fingers interlocked on his stomach and moving up and down with every breath he was taking. His legs were stretched out in front of him and Issei bit back a grin as he realized that Takahiro was slowly slipping from the plastic chair, sure to find his way to the ground if he didn’t adjust soon.
Issei looked away before he could do something stupid. Like laugh. Or cry.
“Nice night for a haunt.”
Issei was never good with his words. Good thing Takahiro already knows.

“Simon’s dead.”
Price leaned back on his chair, shoulders deflating some. He nodded, seeing and understanding Ghost’s point of view. But. “And yet there he is,” Price said, voice gentle, leaning slightly forward to keep their eyes meeting, “bleeding in front of me.”
Late night conversations were a usual occurrence within the 141, but this was something different. Not bad, though, never bad, especially when it had to do with Ghost.

He had seen, in brief flashes, Stiles’s hand rubbing over the very place the knife would have entered his gut.

Tim’s hand grips tighter on the coffee, more determined to keep his hold on that than his phone or keys, and thank god, he doesn’t drop the drink. But the rest of it slips through his fingers, and the guy he just slammed into has some seriously great reflexes, because he manages to snatch them both out of the air before they can hit the ground.
“Oh, god, sorry—” Tim starts to say as the guy straightens up, and then he stops. A set of amused green eyes look down at him over a wide grin.
You’ve got to be kidding, Tim thinks.
“Got somewhere to be, sweetheart? Oh, now that’s a pretty shade of red you’re turning—”
“I’m late,” Tim snaps, snatching his keys and phone out of Jason’s hand. “I got lost four fucking times on my way here. If this city was a person, I would throttle it.”

Summary
When Jason's dead best friend shows up at his door, injured and with a surprise daughter in tow, Jason knows he should just be grateful for the miracle. Even if things between Roy and Lian aren't exactly rosy, and even if Lian's managed to catch the attention of a dangerous crime lord, this is a happy ending for the Harpers, or close enough to one. This is the way things should be.
Jason knows there's no place for someone like him in Roy's life now that he's found Lian again - but he can't quite let go of what they once almost were. He can't quite let go of Roy. Not until he has to.

‘Jason,’ Dick glared at Tim as if daring him to speak. The younger boy shrunk into himself instinctively.
'Why don’t you tell your hungover little brother about the dangers of hard drugs?’
The other side of the call fell silent and then-
‘Ten minutes.’
The line went dead.
Or: Tim throws a party. Dick's not impressed. Jason just wishes that he wasn't the only person in this family with a functioning brain cell (all drug use is by side characters only).
