Obi-Wan took a deep breath and did his best to press the anxiety he was feeling away. His hands were steady as he adjusted the settings of the communcation set-up of the small vessel he was currently piloting. He purposefully set the comm to audio only on his side. He hadn't been a padawan for long, but if there was one thing he'd learned during his missions with Master Jinn, it was that it was rare for anyone, especially politicians, to take a padawan seriously.
He assumed the same held true for the leader of an enemy empire.

I rarely just copy and paste my comment into a bookmark but:
This is so so damned good. Brilliantly written with delightful worldbuild notes - I love the concept of the grid glass blowing out but holding - and the dialog is so spot on I had to remind myself this wasn't a scene from the game. Absolutely adopting some of these Malevola notes for personal headcannon.
So many good parts but:
“Sounds like quantum physics to me,” Sonar once said, lying on her couch, drunk as an alternative to being high on his drug of choice. “Everything,” he’d insisted, “sufficiently unexplainable gets quantum.”Maybe it is. Maybe it’s all fucking confetti. Malevola doesn’t know.

Somehow I didn't bookmark this series despite reading it and all the spinoff at least twice! That's the danger of downloading for ya.
Anyway READ THIS SERIES. It's beautifully written and has fantastic characterization and does an amazing job of giving a fix-it for so many characters and issues within the series. I love the examination of depression and ptsd and the way family comes together. It's an excellent look at the Wei Wuxian loves people and is terrible at being loved by them, and likewise examines the way other characters struggle with giving or accepting love.
I also really like the way Madam Yu is handled here, as well as all the Jins. -

Delightful! Time travel that is mostly about Kakashi Dealing With Being 17 again and Tenzo post injury, a snapshot of Fixing Things and dealing with his feelings and recognizing how fucked up he was as a kid. It's hard for stories this "short" to encompass a whole fix it timeline so instead it's a very specific period of a few days that gives a direct sense of "and then things change for the better" at the end without needing to tackle every problem.
Also I just love the dialog and the chemistry of everyone here.

I did not bookmark this the first time I read it and I absolutely should have. Utterly fantastic fix-it time travel fic with Hinata at the head, handling the BS of the Hyuuga clan and tackling the issues inherent in both time travel in Naruto and the whole child soldiers thing. Brilliant, heartfelt, wonderfully paced. Politics! Clan law! Butterfly effect! I can't stop thinking about how WELL this was put together, from beginning to end. Absolutely something to read if you even vaguely like time travel or Naruto fics (everything I know from the series comes from fic, so I don't feel like much canon knowledge is truly needed).

Somehow, despite not being the most in-depth version of time travel fix-its I have read, this is 100% my favourite and possibly my favourite star wars story hands down. There is such a brilliant mix of serious and sarcastic, character growth that feels natural but respects the issues of an adult in a child body, working through the politics of the senate and how changing the future you know to have happened changes the future you are going to experience in ways you can't predict. Brilliant prose, fantastic dialog, just... I have a lot of feelings and I could wish this story was twice the length but honestly it's perfect as it is.

One of the better stories looking at how having children fight a war against adults would have logistical issues, and the way the Mandalorians work through the reality of a planet that has nothing left worth saving (besides the kids) is interesting. This is a story about the kids and obi getting rescued (and adopted) and a little bit about family dynamics, not a political story about outing the sith or how obi ends up a Jedi mandolorian (as many stories with these characters tend to be) but it is a complete tale that I genuinely enjoyed.

Really neat bit of worldbuilding and more of a snippet of a larger universe, but one that feels warm and comforting to read. I love the idea of Feemor taking Obi-Wan on as a padawan and Death Watch ending up with a pretty ignoble death.

I know nothing about Maul's story but I didn't need to, to follow the fic, and it has one of my fave tropes: the overpowered kiddo is allowed and capable of Getting Shit Done and the adult who is trying to adopt him is one part 'I really would rather keep you safe' and one part 'let me hold your flower'. Maul and Jango are delightful, poor Obi-Wan needs a hug and therapy, and the plot does some interesting things.
Sadly while the fic ends well, a lot of plot points are left for the sequel/continuation that was never done, so it's not the best read if you want everything tied up with a bow.
