It's reasonable to be afraid of pushing an enemy's boundaries when they're helping you, especially if you don't know their motive.
Kagami shifts a little, watching idly as Tobirama’s hand smoothes over the quickly disappearing rash, green-tinted fingers almost tickling the skin.

His journey is simple, return to Sigonia IV, find the old Avgin ritual site in the harshest desert on the planet, and complete the ritual on the night of Kakava.
But going into the desert alone is dangerous, and while Aventurine is fully confident he can handle it just fine, someone else is not so sure- and Aventurine can never turn Ratio down.
So it seems he isn't going alone.

Aventurine isn't necessarily 'human', not by the IPC's definition, at least, but he certainly fits in well pretending to be one. It's been over a decade since he last bore the insectoid wings of the Avgin people, having never regrown them last time he molted. Since then, he's simply accepted that part of himself must be gone, another piece lost among the horrors of his past.
That is, at least, until his metamorphosis randomly kicks in during a diplomatic mission to a distant desert planet.
He tries to shrug it off, to let it slide right off his back and continue with his work unhindered, but a lot has changed since the days of his childhood. As a grown adult, his yearly metamorphosis cycle means a lot more than just growing in a fresh pair of colorful wings... as he's about to find out the hard way.
