Summary
Regulus Black was, its safe to say, not thriving. He was sat in his Professor's office, fixing Slughorn with a shocked glare as he rambled.
"Mr Black you are top of your class in medicine and physio therapy, it only makes sense that we place you with the sports team that has the most injuries. Our rugby team have nearly double the amount of concussions and injuries than any other team here and you are very well equipped to handle them." Slughorn continues, looking far more pleased for Regulus than he himself was feeling.

A very sarcastic Regulus is forcibly assigned as the medic for the university rugby team, captained by none other than James Potter. His brother plays too and that can only go... Well. Having only just escaped from his Mother's clutches Regulus find happiness in ballet, his friends and as time goes on (although he will never admit it) a very rowdy rugby team - particularly James Potter.

“Am I dreaming?” Potter rasps. “Or why are you towering over me like that?”
“Can you swallow?” Regulus barks, unimpressed.
Potter does so pointedly, winces thoroughly, but slaps the grin right back on when he succeeds. “Odd thing to say, but I’ll take it,” he manages to get out, eyes glazing over every few seconds, proving he is clearly out of it.
“I got something for you to swallow so you won’t die on me,” Regulus offers and gets the bezoar out of its box to hold up in front of Potter.
“Happy to swallow anything–” Potter closes his eyes for a moment, obviously in excruciating pain but too proud to ever admit it, “–anything you give me.” He grins crookedly.
“Perfect.” Regulus shoves the stone down his throat and washes it down with a Sleeping Draught.

Or: Regulus has always wanted to be a Healer. Once he betrays Voldemort and starts working for the Order, life seems perfectly calm. That is until James Potter manages to almost get himself killed and has to spend a couple of weeks at Regulus' to be healed. Learning how to act around each other while figuring out the curse that hit James proves to be challenging.

When Andromeda Black (soon-to-be Tonks) calls Regulus with news regarding her wedding, it completely shatters his desire to attend at all. Regulus wants to back out, Sirius intends to drag him there regardless, Remus is unhelpful beyond propositions of murder, and, to Regulus' dismay, the person who offers a solution is none other than his brother's best friend, James Potter. James and Sirius have a history of getting away with lies of all kinds, but Regulus has a sinking feeling this particular one will do more harm than good. The worst thing is that it's going to happen at a million dollar wedding venue.
Or, Regulus is having second thoughts about whether or not he has it in him to go to his cousin's wedding. James graciously offers to help by fake dating Regulus through the occasion.
