Summary
Ballister had long given up on his childhood dream of becoming a knight and was content with being the beloved "library uncle" in his community.
Sure, there were a few times where he'd had to fight off a few scoundrels who were after a poor soul looking for refuge in his library, and yeah he'd done his fair share of reporting small and sometimes big time crimes to the knights.
Only none of those times involved the direct descendant of Gloreth.
Or the person he rescued gushing about Ballister's own fighting prowess.
It was just filing a report, he wouldn't see the golden armored knight again....would he?

Summary
Hanahaki was still the same, even after a thousand years – most people saw their person, love (or tragedy?) at first sight and immediately felt those flowers bloom. They would slowly but surely creep through their respiratory system, wrapping around the lungs first then settling there in the stomach and, last, the heart. Eventually, the lover would have to make a decision between two choices. Confess to their love, which would either end in the two's happily after or plain and simple rejection. The other choice was to simply hole these feelings up in their chest, not speaking a single word until they finally collapsed with the final cough of a dozen blooms; the illness was, unfortunately, more fatal than not for most people.
He didn't think of himself as most people, though.

After everything that happened: the queen's death, the Director's betrayal, Nimona's "disappearance", Ballister has a lot to process, and that's before even getting to his relationship with Ambrosius.
Ballister needs a break, Ambrosius does not handle it well.Or, 5 times Ambrosius failed to get Ballister back and 1 time he did.

Summary
The new world is almost perfect.
Emphasis on 'almost'.
It's been nearly a year since Nimona sacrificed herself, the Director and her plan were destroyed along with the wall that kept the kingdom secluded in fear, and the city is almost completely rebuilt. Ballister and Ambrosius have talked things out, albeit it took a few months to get all their tears, fears, and insecurities out. But they came out on top, just like they always do. They even got couples counseling, and now things are almost back to normal.
Nimona is back (though staying low in Ballisters' and her old lair), Ballister and Ambrosius are busy with being knights and the rebuilding effort but always make time for each other, and the kingdom is flourishing.
But there's still that 'almost' bit. The bit that Ballister can't seem to quite chase away, no matter how hard he tries to keep it suppressed. And it doesn't help that the fact is glaringly obvious, blinding him nearly every time he and Ambrosius kiss.
He's horny.
They haven't done anything in months.
And he wants to be fucked.

Connor is traumatized by the death of Simon at the Tower. And, Hank? Hank has a long-overdue epiphany.
