Summary
"Buck!" Eddies voice rang through the space, abruptly cut off by the deafening sound of crumpling concrete hitting the ground. Eddie stared at the rubble now blocking the way between himself and Buck. "Buck," Eddie whimpered as he dropped to his knees in front of the pile of rubble Buck was buried under.

If episode 9x3 actually included the subway collapse from the promo, because I'm so mad about that.
Continuing the story using that as a plot point. It will be canon divergent from that point onward in season 9, episode 3.Series

Summary
It starts at the firefighter auction.
With Buck on stage.
With a smile Eddie can’t return.
With a feeling he doesn’t understand—
and refuses to name.Because it shouldn’t matter.
It’s just Buck.
Right?
It would be easier if it was.
Some lines don’t blur.
Some lines were never even there. And some feelings?
They don’t stay buried.
No matter how hard they try.

Summary
Since Eddie left, they’ve been talking non-stop every single day. This unsettling silence doesn’t make any sense – Buck is sure something must’ve happened. Eddie sounded so happy last time they talked because things with his son were finally getting better. There had been a real light in his voice, the kind Buck could recognize even underwater. So, he doesn’t know what might’ve made him vanish into thin air as if he were a ghost. It could be anything, and Buck is scared shitless. It’s a nightmare and Buck can’t seem to wake up from it.
Or the one where Buck goes to his best friend's rescue in Texas, and shit happens.
