She smiled at him and took a sip of the liquor. His eyes did not stray from hers as she did so. The moment seemed to stretch and Park Jin, like the lovesick fool he was, got lost in her warm brown eyes. She must use spells to make them shine as they did, mesmerising and enchanting as they were.
It took him more effort than he would ever admit for him to tear his gaze away. Taking the offered cup, Park Jin swilled its contents for a moment before bringing it to his lips.
He made sure his lips touched the same place as Maidservant Kim’s had. This, he thought, was the closest he would ever get to kissing her. Closing his eyes, Park Jin savoured not the taste of the fine liquor but of the sweeter feeling that her lips had left.

Hawks would have deigned to respond, a quip or a joke to draw attention away from the topic that had been brought up, but his throat had run dry as soon as the informant’s name had been brought up. Izuku had always been sharp and observant, being the first one to pick up the very real feelings that had lined Dabi and his play flirting.
