The night is beautiful. Even at this time of the year, it’s only a little chilly. He sighs and leans against the balcony, removing his glasses and rubbing at his eyes. From inside, he can still hear muffled laughter and music.
He stares down at the sea below, watching the waves crash against the side of the cliff.
Azul and the twins had been working together before they started at Night Raven College. They got their invitations together. They walked on land for the first time together. They had been with him for so long, for every step of most of his academic career.
And yet, in such a big room surrounded by so many others, it’s hard for Azul to feel like he’s special. It’s a silly thought. He knows he’s accomplished. A Housewarden, a powerful mage, but in comparison to the others in this room, he feels so small, so insignificant.
or, it's the Twin's birthday and Azul is convinced to finally go.
