They had lectures, and term papers, and the occasional extradimensional field trip and horrifying experiment conducted on each other in the name of ascending to a higher state of being, as all decent colleges do. Micolash is a professor here, and while he may enjoy doing his arcane research into the secrets of the cosmos... he also has assignments to grade.

Every dead Hunter in the Nightmare hears the voice of Kos inside their head, tormenting them for eternity over the sins of their forebears. Maria hears her most of all, having taken part in those sins in life, so long ago. But the Hunters' Nightmare is a lonely place, and she takes what little conversation there is to offer, even if it comes dripping with animosity - and though both have wronged each other, perhaps Kos and the Old Hunters are not as different as they might think. They do, after all, have eternity to spend together.

When Team RWBY leave for Vacuo, Oscar stays behind at Atlas Academy to train as a huntsman as the kingdom rebuilds. Along with the final Schnee and two faunus, Team WOTR is formed to carry on the legacy of troublemaking that got cut short at Beacon.
And though Salem still remains within the kingdom’s borders, Atlas finds itself threatened by more opportunistic villains taking their chance on the kingdom’s stage.

Summary
A moon, damaged in a struggle against unjust lords of excess and exploitation, vanishes from the sky over a world of humans and robots. Another moon, smashed on purpose by an unjust lord in his last departing act of contempt for his subjects, hangs still over a world of humans and faunus. Both remind their wounded worlds that there is no change too great to be possible, but that freedom often comes at a high price.
This is a world of legends, of stories scattered through time. The truth is rarely as simple as it appears to be. But when friends become enemies and it seems all has been for nothing, remember that enemies may become friends just as easily. The greatest adversary of peace has never been those who work against it, but those who merely sleepwalk for generations with no purpose or calling. Dreamers, wake up!

This is a RWBY AU with characters from Warframe. It follows RWBY canon through Volume 5 and has only minor divergences in Volume 6. After that, the two worlds collide in full, and there is no future written except what these people make of it.

Summary
Warframe as it could - and should - have always been. This is a hopeful story, in a world where most people are fundamentally good, where kindness is valued. It is a retelling of everything from the Old War to the present, with only a few slight adjustments:
1. Sentients are treated like people, with their own motivations and their own morals. Because that's what they are. Not some force of absolute evil, just people who happen to not be human.
2. Margulis lives.

"And then there's a customized copy of PONY PALS, a gift to you on your 14th birthday from the slippery Mr. Strider. Each page contains lovingly hand-written commentary on the deeds of this intrepid young horse. Later, about halfway through the book, rather than see the gag through to the bitter end, Strider began pasting over entire pages of original text with his own completely rewritten version of the story, while keeping all the chapter titles. His revision is a tough, emotionally draining read. But it's cathartic, in all the worst ways possible.
He tends to get carried away with his projects."Note: this work is an altered book, and it plays on the physical relationship between the original pages and the edited text. As such, it's presented as a series of images. Reading the images is the only way to get the full experience, but I'm aware that some people can't/don't want to read it that way. So if that's the case, you can skip to chapter 13, which is a text-only version of the story, including rough descriptions of the most important illustrations.
