Summary
Helaena had always been strange, often only Aemma could soothe her melancholic moods as a child and now she stood before him, soft blue eyes that reminded him of a summer sea. Her mother's eyes, as a pang of regret filled him even as his daughter stood clad in a dress of black and red, yet all he could see was Aemma in her features. From her smile, to her rare laughter it was obvious just which parent she had taken after more, and at times it hurt him to see it.
Taking a shaky breath he begins to speak, “I, Viserys Targaryen, first of his name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm, do hereby name Helaena Targaryen, Princess of Dragonstone and heir to the Iron Throne.”
In other words, what if Helaena Targaryen and Rhaenyra Targaryen swapped roles?

Summary
It could be said that Corlys Velaryon was perhaps the most successful man in all of Westeros, his daughter Laena had risen to the highest position possible in the realm as King Viserys' Queen, whilst his son Laenor proved himself every inch his father's proper successor. Both the perfect example of their noble roots, yet hidden just underneath the surface of the noble Seahorse is a bond struck between his wild daughter and viperous son, a deal between a devil and his songbird—which threatens to tear the realm asunder.
Many claim it was Laenor’s ambitions and own affections for Laena which blinded him whereas some foolishly whispered they fell to the temptations of their mother's blood.
Regardless of the reason, Westeros is forever changed for it.

Summary
"Why do you think you'll convince her?" Coral snapped, Tanner shifted, eye remaining trained on the girl from Seven. If Domitia didn't know better, she'd say that Tanner was staring at her in longing. Thankfully, none of the others seemed to notice, still Festus' tribute presses on. "What's so different about you that you'd manage it better than me?"
"I know her, certainly better than even her stupid boyfriend over there."
The tension between the three tributes shifts, as Domitia and her classmates pause and turned back towards Tanner. Had she heard him right? How could he know Lamina, they were from entirely different Districts, not to mention Seven and Ten weren't even close to one another so it was impossible regardless.
The pair from Four pause as Coral shrugged carelessly, though it was obvious she was still reluctant, "Good luck, trying to convince the lumberjack then."
"I don't need luck."
(Or, an AU where Tanner and Lamina’s beef is a lot more personal. And the others are just along for the ride.)

His mind still goes back to his Mama’s story, of Paris and Helen, had the Prince thought that Helen’s hand was a blessing of the Goddess’ favor or did he know deep down that holding Helen would lead him to his doom?
And what of Helen herself, had she felt the same for Paris or had she been horrified by what his patroness had promised? That it was she, to be traded for a golden apple as if she were nothing more than an animal at the slaughterhouse tied up at the chain and ready to be bled dry.
He shouldn’t care. Lamina was by all intents and purposes his enemy, someone who held him back from going home. Yet, now by her own hand made a potential ally, someone who the girl from Four would no doubt be interested in trying for an offer.

Summary
A complement to both my Iliou Persis and Sketches of the Trojan War series, going through events of the war mostly from a point of view from Troy, Helen and Paris, and some smaller voices on the Achaean side. Taking a lot of plot inspiration from the fragments of the Epic Cycle, it starts from before the beginning, with Zeus and Themis planning and what comes of that, through the years of the war and to the very end.
The lot of sacred Troy might be destruction, but it took years and many voices involved to reach that point.
