    In Sinnoh there was an old ghost story attached to Mount Coronet. Two ghosts haunted the mountain. One was the ghost of a young girl dressed in the uniform of the old Galaxy Team of the Hisuian age. She walks the mountain paths at dawn calling out for her father. The other ghost was a man with silver hair and silver eyes. He walks along the hiking trails at night calling out for someone named Akari. Anyone he runs into is asked the same question.

    “Please, have you seen my daughter? I can’t find her.”

    Upon being told no the ghost would continue on his way. Calling out for his child that he could never find. The ghosts of the father and child that haunted the mountain never to find each other was a popular sad tale in Sinnoh. It was also a popular subject for late night ghost hunting shows to cover for easy views. A cheap budget ghost hunting show isn’t how Emmet should learn that his missing brother is dead and haunting a mountain in a far off region, but it is and that one show causes Emmet to drag Elesa with him to Sinnoh to find answers.

    I love this fic! I love the emotional highs and lows and I love the way that Emmet and Elesa actually take time to solve the problems of the Ingo and Akari that never got their help before going back it really shows how much they care and that even if the past was set in stone that Ingo and Akari would still get their help and proper send off, speaking of Ingo and Akari i love their relationship here! It's just so so lovely that no matter what Volo could do to them or how hard he'd curse them, they'd still be at least near each other by virtue of being on the part of the corenet highlands, or well close enough, like it could have been way worse for them imagine if they'd gotten killed in different areas that would have sucked a thousand times more! But luckily that's not what happened and they were in prime close enough to hear each other but far enough to not be able to find each other by the time their existing times lined up

    Also that curse stuff with spiritomb is just so cool! like using the curse move to force what amounts to a timed status affect on both ingo and akari and like, Fuck Volo, all the homies Hate Volo hear fucking coward but also like if he had given them a proper fighting chance he would have been done in like two moves, so it makes sense he'd go the literally backstabbing route. Like Fuck Him still but i get it, Oh and the whole stuff with vessa was both adorable and tore my heart out like, ahhh vessa so under leveled, didn't stand a chance, but also Volo's spiritomb is a right bitch how dare, and and the whole spirtitomb quest to put vessa not together again, she could never be together again, but close enough that it counts as healed and ahh I love the whole thing with the spirits and chandelure and the tunnels and that one spirt calling all the others and the ones that didn't get there in time being disappointed they couldn't join in that feels so very ghost of them and i love that I love them

    Just I love all of this so much its hard to put into words, like Emmet and Ingo! All the stuff with Emmet and Ingo and their pokemon and Chandelure and I love them I love the way you write them I love the way they all just fit together and the way it quite literally tears Emmet up inside to not have Ingo remember him and ahhhh I love them I love the way you write them so so much I love this story so much I've actually imagined alt versions of it where my own pokemon characters where experiencing it with them, but that's mostly a side effect of me making my own pokemon region right now which isn't the point of this bookmark so I will shelf that topic for its own story.

    Elesa! I love Elesa and how she interacts with everyone in this story i just I love it Shes so cool and she cares so so much and it bleeds into her every action and i love her i love her so much and like she makes other characters actually explain what their plan is and I love the way shes written and

    I dont have the words for it all but i love it so much this fic is so good just the whole premise and everything that happens and ahhhhh words my greatest but most necessary adversary

    Sorry if you couldn't tell by now I love this fic and I will now re-read it for as long as im still actively in the fandom(I don't ever truly leave) and then come back to it everytime i come back, i seriously recommend this fic to anyone in the submas fandom tis great for angst and fluff and i am rapidly spinning it, so very rapidly spinning it
