Summary
Post-fall, Will wants to know if Hannibal touched more than just his face during those ‘therapy’ sessions in Hannibal’s office when Will was sick, drugged and vulnerable. He finds himself more turned on by the idea than he expected.
“I would never violate a patient in my care, Will,” he says, looking directly at Will so he’s forced to make eye contact.
Remembering poor Franklyn, Will can’t help but internally snort at Hannibal’s definition of ‘care’, never mind his clearly shaky grasp on what might constitute a ‘violation’. But Hannibal has spoken with such conviction that it’s now Will’s turn to divine Hannibal’s motives.

“I wish she could have, as well.” Will's eyes watered as he spoke. “But we can never return to her the years she’d lost.”
“No,” he admitted. “Merely make all the ones that are yet to come far better than they would have been if it wasn't for us.” He looked deep into Will’s eyes. “I have sworn that to her and I intend to keep my promise.” Will smiled.
“I’m sure you will.” He grabbed his hand, rubbing his thumbs against its knuckles gently. “You always do.”
OR
Will feels like something is missing from their new life. Hannibal finds just the right solution.
