Summary
Due to the fact that at the time the Geneva Convention was drafted Omega’s were forbidden from serving in combat, relegating them to non-combative duties only in the few countries which allowed them to serve at all, no consideration had been given to how Omega’s should be treated when they become prisoners of war.
An amendment should have been made once this changed, the United Kingdom permitting the first Omega soldiers to train for combat positions in 1934, and one can only presume that it was assumed that any civilised nation would treat Omega’s with the respect and dignity that they deserved.
Sadly this wasn’t the case.
