Xie Lian let go of Hua Cheng's hand. His eyes travelled up Hua Cheng's arm and to the nape of his neck, where a matching mark was branded on his skin. Gently, Xie Lian traced the crescent of the tattoo with two fingers. When he pulled away, he realized his eyes were wet.
“You tattooed my bite on your claiming spot,” Xie Lian said, his voice thick with emotion.
As the crown prince and royal heir to the Kingdom of Xianle, Xie Lian is medically induced into presenting as an alpha at a young age. The thing is... his personality isn't very alpha-like.

Summary

Summary
Xie Lian stared in awe at the view before him.
Countless blessing lanterns drifted from the mountain peak. They shimmered brightly in the dark night, a golden, vivid dream brightening Xie Lian’s path.
His breath hitched, and he tightened his grip on the cart he had been pulling behind him, the sea of gold was a familiar, beautiful sight.
A little sliver of hope resurfaced, and Xie Lian couldn’t help but indulge it. He knew he shouldn’t have, that expecting anything would only disappoint his aching heart, but he couldn’t help it. Not with Hua Cheng.
As he traveled up the slope, watching the lanterns gently float up to the heavens, his decrepit cottage came to view, and he noticed his legs moving quicker than he expected them to, a magnetic force pulling him up the mountain.
Someone was there, a man dressed in red, his movements languid and slow whilst he let the lantern in his hand drift up to the glowing sky, floating by the sea of blessing lanterns behind him.
Xie Lian’s heels dug into the dirt, his heart began beating wildly.
“San Lang..?”
