Summary
If anyone has the power to break demonic deals, it’s Lucifer Morningstar, and Alastor intends on having her deal broken no matter what she has to do. If she has to go another day forcing herself to get along with those three syphocants, duping the public into thinking she actually gives a damn about Voxtek and the trash they peddle, she’s going to go mad. It’s been 70 years since Vox had swindled her into making that deal. She’d say she’s more than earned an out by now.
Lucifer Morningstar is attending a gala for the first time in decades. Alastor seizes the opportunity to finally break free from the Vee's once and for all.

He supposes it’s because Vox is just that pathetic. He’s lost it all: the company that bears his own name, the power, the ego. Not his partners, though of course that might change the moment either Velvette or Valentino realize what’s happening right beneath their noses. And as much as Alastor hates the idea of anyone associating him with something as vile as sex, he can’t deny the thrill in the idea of somebody catching them in the act as he graciously allows Vox to rut against him like an animal in heat.
For the entertainment, of course.

If Vox had eyelashes, Alastor swore that he would be batting them right about now.
The way he was trying to seductively hunch over the table, his TV head propped in his palms as he chased the straw of his shake around the glass with his tongue, was absurd. It was an absolutely ridiculous display to be forced to watch. But Alastor didn’t really have much of a choice in his positioning right now. The cords wrapped a little too tightly around his arms and chest were reminder enough of that, and the uncomfortable frowny-face gag was starting to chafe as he wiggled, the plastic diner seat squeaking beneath him.
Vox was acting like some foolish, irresponsible, love-struck high schooler trying to impress his sweetheart.
And it absolutely wasn’t working.

Summary
Charlie had planted herself in front of Vox and was rambling off an impressive myriad of excuses, from busted pipes to bad Wi-Fi, while he stared at her, hands on his hips, with the utmost expression of forced patience. His black, digital brows were set in a line as straight as the glower at the bottom of his screen. He does a single, slow blink, finger tapping against his hip as he debates on how much money he can reasonably make on a Charlie Morningstar-inspired white-noise machine (and whether the guaranteed customer complaints will be worth the cheap buck) when a movement over her shoulder draws his eyes.
He leans to the side, eyebrow quirking. "What's that?" Then promptly chokes on a surprised noise and shoves Charlie aside. "Holy shit, is that a human?"
Lucifer plays a prank on Alastor.
Everyone else has to deal with the consequences.
