Obediently, Caitlyn parted her lips. Once again losing control of herself. Vi slid her thumb into her mouth, pressing it against her tongue. The gush of warm, sweet blood filled her senses. Like a good orgasm usually did, it exploded in one part of her body and flushed through the rest, like fireworks. Vi tasted as decadently as Caitlyn had always imagined. She wrapped her lips around the knuckle and sucked on it, clasping Vi’s hand to keep it in place.
She could hear Vi’s breath catch before muttering, “Good girl.”

“Oh,” Jinx says knowingly, glancing Vi’s way out of the corner of her eye. “That’s the, uh, the cop girl, right? Maddie’s ex?”
A chorus of mutters and nods is the response.
“I’m being warned about her,” Vi tells her sister and Jinx blows her bangs out of her face.
“Good,” she says, almost snappishly. “Yeah, don’t date cop girl. You should date someone cool.”
“I’m not going to date anyone, not for a while. I need to get back on my feet first,” says Vi, drumming her fingers against the condensation of the glass. Thinking of Cupcake in her contacts, and that teasing smile.
Everything in Vi’s life right now is starting over. She’s spending the holidays on her sister’s pull-out futon, trying to make sense of the avalanche of changes, salvage what’s left of her family and figure out what she’s going to do next. The last thing she expects to do is include the beautiful woman she runs into on her first day in town, or this Caitlyn that everyone’s warning her to stay away from.

Violet grunts and lazily turns her head to face Cait, her cheek resting against the pillow. She opens her mouth to speak but seems to notice the stuffed rabbit for the first time and her teeth clack as her mouth snaps shut. She shifts to nuzzle against it. Then softly, “Vi,” she says.
“What?”
“My name. It’s Vi,” she clarifies and Caitlyn decides she quite likes it. It suits her.
“Okay. I’m going to call the nurses here now,” Caitlyn says and reaches for her own call button. “Vi?”

Late one night, Caitlyn and Vi both end up in the library cramming for exams. When Caitlyn's best friend, Jayce, doesn't answer his phone to be Caitlyn's escort across campus in the dark, Vi offers to walk Caitlyn to her car.
An insane idea to destress together during a spontaneous and very practical one-night-stand turns into many more nights, studying and de-stressing as tutors-with-benefits.
Between Caitlyn's insane Pre-Law class schedule and Vi's commitments to her Engineering degree and her captaincy of the rugby team - and their historic Runeterra University Rugby Championship (RURC) run - Caitlyn and Vi discover that they have a lot more in common than being stressed out of their minds and insanely attracted to each other.
Over the course of the school year, they fall in deeper and deeper, finding out in real time that, sometimes, true love can come from anywhere - even as unlikely a place as the Pilt U library at one o'clock in the morning.

Jake pauses in the water, catching the sound of her movement. Neytiri sees him turn, sees him investigate the dense foliage that surrounds the bathing pool, bright eyes darting back and forth. As if he realises his own mistake, Jake begins to wade back towards his weapons. His large body glides through the pool, water rippling off his broad chest.
“Guys?” he calls into the darkness. There’s a hit of nervousness to his voice. “Is that you? If so, cut it out.”

It’s Jake’s first Valentine’s Day on Pandora and he is filled with excitement.
While other people might roll their eyes at the cheesy traditions and the way they became an excuse to fuel capitalism, he genuinely enjoyed giving gifts and going out for dinner to celebrate his romantic relationships. Jake has always found it easier to express his love through actions rather than words, so a holiday built on the premise of doing things for a significant other is the perfect excuse for him to lean into his strengths.
He missed the companionship of being in a relationship and he was never one to deny the pleasure he found in the physical side of it either, but it was the caring for someone else that he missed the most. Or he did until he came to Pandora and managed to meet the most incredible woman in the universe.
Now that he and Neytiri are married, he can’t wait to introduce her to Valentine’s Day. She has shown him so many different Na’vi celebrations and traditions during his time with the Omatikaya that he is thrilled to finally return the favor and share a human holiday with her.

“You know why I haven’t.” He replied, voice strained with sorrow.
