“This–this…”
“I owe everything to them. And so, I want to say it today. Crimson Rain is off the table everyone. It’s time I embrace my beloved back, with all the same love and gratitude.”
Unfortunately, Hua Cheng forgets one detail: perhaps he should have told this to his beloved first.
(Or: Hua Cheng confesses in the most roundabout way possible, Xie Lian's confused and jealous, and in between all of this is Yin Yu's braincell saving the day.)

Not yet sure about his place in the world, he meets young Cloud Strife, a local outdoorsy boy only a year younger than Sephiroth.
What happens when Shinra’s greatest starts feeling a strange pull towards this spiky-haired country bumpkin with the most beautiful eyes Sephiroth has ever seen?

Sadly, his friends weren’t quite ready to appreciate his genius, so Zack had to devise a secret plan to get them to do what they needed.

Life in Midgar wasn't cheap; a fact that Cloud had become all too aware of once he'd finally given up on his hopes of making it into SOLDIER, settling instead for daylighting as a barista and moonlighting as a sex worker to make ends meet. No matter how exhausted he felt, at least it paid the bills. Better than trudging back to Nibelheim with his tail between his legs.
Of course, working in a little coffee shop on the SOLDIER floor of the Shinra building meant that he still couldn't escape Sephiroth at his day job. And, upon receiving an offer he couldn't refuse from one of his subscribers, he couldn't help but wonder if even his side hustle might not be so safe...

Cloud got a little more than he bargained for when he investigated too deeply into ShinRa's exceptionally dubious Science Department. Specifically, he managed to get himself attached to Sephiroth - who, it turns out, is also a parasitic alien symbiote in addition to ShinRa's poster boy - and walk out of the labs with ShinRa's prized specimen. They're also now sort of boyfriends. Definitely fucking, at least. Cloud's life is weird, but he has no complaints.

Cloud walked to him, dazed, unable to make out anything other than the rush of wind around them. Sephiroth seemed pleased with him, and that was all that mattered. Cloud’s heart skipped a beat at the mere implication of praise, of doing the right thing, whatever that was. The right thing must be to get even closer, to offer up his entire self to his subject of adoration.
Sephiroth held out his hand, locking eyes with Cloud. “Bring me the Black Materia.”
Hoping to convey his feelings, Cloud held the materia close to his own chest but gave Sephiroth a pleading look, eyes wide as he made a desperate noise in his throat, trying to communicate that he wanted to please him but couldn’t. Cloud rested the side of his head in Sephiroth’s palm, exhaling with relief as the glimpse of a touch soothed him.
“Oh?” asked Sephiroth, fondly petting Cloud’s hair. "You want me to make you be good?”
Cloud nodded.

Then, a soft sigh moved the god's shoulders, and he leaned backwards slightly as if trying to force Cloud’s blade to actually pierce him.

Sephiroth, after feeling weak for the first time during his adult life and coming to terms with it, simply tries to deliver a letter written by an anxious mother to her missing son.
