Summary
The air in the capital is cold, tonight, where it slips under the edges of the sheets in He Xuan's bed, teasing against his skin like a lover. It doesn't bother him, of course, at this point; nor can it bother Shi Qingxuan, who lies next to him in the bed in his godly form.
And yet the other man slips closer, tonight as other nights, nosing against He Xuan's shoulder, then his collarbone, until his face is tucked into the dip of his neck. He shivers performatively against He Xuan; for some reason, that sends a trickle of warmth through him, warms him more than the heat of Shi Qingxuan's body.
"It's so cold," Shi Qingxuan says, tucking a hand up near his face against He Xuan's collar. He's obviously aiming for forlorn, but the playfulness of his voice betrays him. His fingers start to rub slow circles against the cloth of He Xuan's robes, then his skin; they dip under the fine material of his garments in stages. "Ming xiong, won't you warm me up?"

Hua Cheng took a step towards the bed and leaned closer, his inky eyes studying him closely. After a moment he sighed and flopped on the bed next to him, a hand lazily reaching up to Xie Lian's head and scratching it gently.
"Who am I kidding, we both know I'm going to keep you. I don't even get why...there's just something about you that won't let me throw you out the door."
Unable to say anything Xie Lian tilted his head slightly and watched as the corner of the ghost's thin lips arched a little. It was such an endearing look.

His tone is even—neutral, almost unbearably so. Residual heat from the coffee container bleeds into Miles’ open palms. Thinking it better to feign calm, he brings the cup to his lips and sips.
“You’re in love with somebody, huh?”
What little of the steaming liquid had flooded in veers sharply from his windpipe and into his esophagus; eyes wide with mortification, he whips his head in Wright’s direction. “Must you always jump to conclusions?” he sputters. “It’s nothing of the sort!”
Wright, for his part, is deathly blank in the face of Miles’ objection. Save for the way he slowly hunches over, shoulders curling in to hide his eyes, he shows no signs of having been affected by his outburst.
“It’s alright”—he brings a hand to his nose bridge, pinching lightly—“don’t worry.”
Miles Edgeworth, Phoenix Wright, and a cup of coffee to mask unnecessary feelings.

This is my translation of one of the short stories from the Ace Attorney Fanbook, which was an official publication. The original story is credited to Yuri Shibamura.
The story focuses on Miles Edgeworth hearing about Phoenix's accident in Bridge to the Turnabout (3-5), and also covers the infamous forbidden hospital scene. Somehow, this manages to be the most insane thing I've seen in anything considered official Ace Attorney content and I can't even really believe that this is real.
The fact that I felt uncomfortable tagging this as gen tells you all you need to know.

His eyes flick down to his note cards. He swears he’d printed them in his best penmanship, atop one of the library's extra premium desks, but everything is spinning and he feels faintly like he's going to throw up. "Did you uh," he starts, letters swirling in his eyes. "Did...you fall out of heaven...?"
Genius prosecutor-in-training Miles Edgeworth regards him with a blank stare. Phoenix thinks now would be an opportune time for him to locate the nearest possible bridge and promptly jump off of it.
