Summary
A series of sequential fics about Sniper, Medic and a romance between them. This takes place after the comics, and the mercs have gone back to doing what they know: fighting over gravel. Sniper deals with the aftermath of losing his parents and grapples with his resurrection, and everyone re-adjusts to life on the base... again. Medic is content to let things return to the way they were before the team's disbanding, but finds himself troubled by the seepage of emotions into his once-exclusively-professional relationship with his greatest medical triumph. Just two mercenaries trying to figure out what to do with themselves and their feelings while navigating the dusty hellscape of Teufort, New Mexico.

He had been following this lead ever since that first strike at the Isabella Stewart Museum in Boston. The year was 1968. In the middle of the night, 8 different pieces of art were stolen, everything valued in a total of half a million dollars. There was no evidence left that could hint to the identity of the culprit. All that indicated there had been a breaking in was the open panel of skylight, the destroyed camera feed in the security room, and the tied-up guards, who couldn’t even see what hit them.
Mysteries like these there had been a handful, committed by older burglars, who had already been active for years. But what really dragged the Agent’s attention to this case was the fact that, after several days of the police exhaustively searching for suspects, all the stolen pieces were returned one night, by the same burglar that took them. How did they know it was the same person? The thief left a note, with the phrase ‘too easy!’ written on it, signed with the pseudonym of ‘The Scout’.
