Summary
In a world with supernatural creatures and powered individuals, it’s inevitable that sides would be formed. Some use their powers for good, some don’t, and some do something in between the two.
Tango was just trying to pull off a robbery with her team, but it went wrong and she got shot by a hero. She managed to get away but the blood loss leaves them unconscious in an alley.
But they wake up in their room at their team's base, where she’s told that someone patched her up before the team got there.
Tango is curious, who would’ve helped them?

The coffin is a grinning, gaping mouth, opening into the earth. The air below seems to pull at him and Jon swears he can hear a sound, soft and crooning. Not screams, like statements he's read, but just as haunting, whispers of crushing squeezing suffocating pressure too close too close stuck below the rock pressing down and mud sucking in drowning in stone cracking apart never escape.
Jon already feels like he can’t breathe. Though breathing is little more than habit these days, a comfortable lie to let him ignore the truth of what he is. He sucks in a breath anyway.
“This is my choice,” he says to the empty room, to the Eye, listening and watching in his mind, eyes prickling heavy on the back of his neck. To Elias, sitting smug from his cell.
Whatever happens to him, down below in the Buried, it will be his choice. For once.
Jon looks down, grips the torch in his hand, and steps into the coffin.

"Avid," he drags the name out, long and slow. Harsh and grating over his tongue; a name he never expected to utter again. The man ahead of him shows no comprehension, nothing but a downturn of the mouth, a pulling of the lips into a sad little pout.
"Um." is all Avid manages, fidgeting with the front of his apron and twisting the ties around his fingers. He doesn't meet Pyro's eyes again. "How do you...know my name?"
Pyro resists the urge to cast his eyes skyward. Evidently, evidenced by the goings-on of his life and his general continued existence and therefore continued suffering and misery, there is no benevolent god up there looking kindly upon him. Instead, he lets his smile cut into something meaner as he leans in.
"Because I'm the one that has been given the pleasure of walking you through how we do things here." He pauses, watches as Avid looks at Liv over his shoulder, probably thinking about how much nicer she was. Tough luck. If Pyro suffers, so does Avid. "It's also on your nametag."or: what if pyravid had a second chance in a coffee shop?

“Huh? No, not the mission.” Ethan blinked owlishly at him. “I mean joining as a DSO agent.”
Leon choked.
“What?” Leon demanded. “Three weeks? That's not - you've been training for three weeks and they sent you on this case?”
“I've received zero training, actually,” Ethan said, looking completely nonchalant even as Leon inhaled sharply. “Well, Chris did try to show me how to properly bandage a wound, but that doesn't really matter to me.”
He then laughed, like he had just made some sort of inside joke, and Leon almost punched him.

He looked at the mirror just to the side of him, dress still in hand, and nearly stopped breathing.
The way he was holding it in front of himself almost made it look like he was wearing it. The soft sea foam green looked gorgeous against the scales scattered around his face and arms. The way the layered skirt flared around him disguised the fact that he had a very straight, flat figure. The dropped neckline helped with that too, framing his shoulders in a way that made them appear more slender, unlike his suits which only made them broader.
For a moment he manifested his avian traits. The yellow wings looked closer to gold when up against the beautiful shades. Normally when he had both his cod and avian traits visible he just looked like a mess. Now he looked, well…
He looked beautiful.

If I meet you here another night, I could-” the merperson cuts himself off, as if realizing how forward the statement is. “That is. If you want to go. You just.. It seems like you aren’t very happy here, based on what you said. You’re helping me get out of somewhere I’m not happy, It seems unfair to not help you.”
Scott stares at the merman for a long moment. A home with Avid: far from war, far from both the Red and Blue Kingdoms, far from Barrowhill. Thinking about it… he doesn’t dislike the idea. Not at all. In fact, he considers it for a long moment. Everyone he’s talked to agrees that his circumstances were unfair, but none of them had done anything about it. Everyone except Avid.
It’s a tempting offer.

Instead of going to the dungeon with everyone else, Scott and Avid stay behind in the Night Market because Avid can't make it up the hill. Scott comforts Avid and Avid offers Scott an escape.

A low humming sound could be heard across Oakhurst, not that many were there to hear it, a buzz of magic fluttered through the air after centuries of abandonment, and a slight chill nothing extreme but just cold enough for goose bumps to form on the arms, not that many of the residents here needed to keep warm. And finally the grating sound of voices thudding and echoing waking the pair from their almost endless slumber.

After the events of Episode 7, Scott is in denial about Avid’s death. Without any other good idea, he turns to steal the books from the town and uses the beacon in the Crypt to put the final nail of Oakhurst’s coffin, unaware of the body that twitched underneath the floors at his foot.
Scott was an elder vampire, but he was no elder alchemist or ancient power student. So when he opened his eyes and found himself staring at a much older Avid, he gaped.
