Over the years he has become somewhat content with staying in the small town all his friends have left, working in a shitty hotel, and stretching every dollar to provide the best life possible for his son. Regulus is happy where he is, truly. Hense why he feels absolutely nothing but anger when James Potter, the unknowing father of his child who left him for fame, suddenly decides that he wants to be in His and Harry's life.
