Summary
Charlie's friends choose this moment to wander over, which is just perfect timing. By the way Alastor’s fingers dig into his hip, Lucifer knows he hates the scrutiny. He isn’t particularly fond of it himself. He lifts his chin and meets Charlie’s gaze as firmly as he can, which, given the circumstances, isn’t very.
“Honey, listen,” he begins tentatively. “This isn’t—this isn’t how I wanted you to find out.”
She opens her mouth to speak, but Angel Dust beats her to it.
“No way,” he says. “Uh, what the shit? Since when were you guys fucking?”-
Alastor breaks Lucifer out of Vox's machine. This has unexpected consequences.
Or: that awkward moment when you're rescuing your partner who you've been in a secret relationship with for years but then everyone finds out about it so you lowkey just double down and get your partner's ex-wife to marry you to prove it's not an elaborate bit, because, like, when in rome, amiright

It helps that Angel wants to spend time with him because he's the only one who can tell if a person is under Vox's hypnosis. That certainly won't lead to anything that takes Alastor outside of his comfort zone…
