The knowledge that he had managed to continue to hide the full truth from the observant feline was one of the few reasons that his retaliation at the reminder remained merely a psychological show of force, rather than an actual physical reaction from his owner lashing out in anger.
After all, who would ever suspect that he and Rosie had accidentally managed to contractually bind their souls to each other?
