    Summary

A series of canon-compliant Hollanov oneshots that (mostly) take place post The Long Game. Mostly lighthearted, with a variety of different stories from both Shane and Ilya's POV. They all take place in the same universe; however they all are written to work as standalones. Read them in any order you like. They are ordered in chronological order. Posted order is as follows:

    1. Plentiful, but Ultimately Finite
    2. Absolutely Not
    3. A Full Night's Rest
    4. Newlywed Games
    5. The Other Side of the Road
    6. One Unending Fight

    Summary

Shane has a routine. He has rituals. He has a specific way the world is supposed to work, like brushing his teeth and washing his face before going downstairs to give his husband a kiss. But after All Souls’ Day, a realization about Ilya—about what he left behind in Russia and the graves he can never visit—makes Shane break every one of his rules.

A story about morning breath, a spoiled dog, and realizing that remembering a deceased loved one isn't based on a plot of land, but the person living in every shared and lived memory.

    Summary

    It happens in an instant.

Over Ilya’s shoulder, Shane sees the doctor and Wiebe give each other a look, and in a sudden bout of impatient anxiety, Shane ends up saying the words that come to ruin everything.

    “Don’t touch me.”

The effect is instantaneous. Ilya’s hands fly to his sides, and Shane gets a front row seat as Ilya’s heart breaks before his very eyes. Eyes dimming and lips trembling in slow, painful technicolor.

It causes Shane’s heart to break, too, and he vows, immediately, never to see such a look cross his husband’s face again.

OR Shane embarks on a mission to heal his husband’s heart, one PDA at a time.

    Summary

If there’s ever been any doubt in his mind just how much Shane loves this man, it vanishes with the glossy blankness of Ilya’s expression. Blood from a stone indeed.

“My father was very fair,” Ilya says immediately, and it’s got the rigid, almost mechanical emphasis of something practiced a thousand times. “If I was bad, I pay price. No problem.”

“I think maybe we have a different definition of the word fair.”

“Yes,” Ilya admits. “Probably. Shane thinks so.”

    Summary

He thinks the thing that his father hated more than he did Ilya was his inability to control him.

But even as the colossal fuck-up that his father saw him as—he was brilliant at hockey. The best that his coaches had ever seen. He thinks it is the only semi-reedamable quality that his father sees in him. But even that had not made Grigori Rozanov want to look at him.

(Or, Ilya Rozanov learns how to be loved.)
