“I swear I’m not just bailing on another date, Robin,” the excuse is flimsy but Steve’s head is pounding too loud to think of a better one, too hungover to care, “I have— I just have things to do, alright?”

Robin’s not convinced, “Yeah right. Tell me, what is this super important “thing” that you just have to do tonight, Steve?”

    “Me.”

Both their heads snap over to where none other than Eddie Munson just declared himself as “the thing Steve has to do.”

“Hate to break it to you, Buckley, but you can’t set Steve up on a date ‘cause he’s already got plans… with me.”

Or, it starts with a drunken night and a plan that Steve can’t remember making, but Eddie sure does.

    Summary

Eddie’s life in the fall of 1983 is as plain and as dull as it’s ever been. Sure, it was odd that the Byers kid had gone missing, but it’s not like that affected him, right?

Except he’s been having some weird dreams lately. Dreams of a dark plain creeping into Hawkins; of dripping, searching tendrils squirming towards him, other-worldly bats filling the red sky, his cold, stiff body being dragged across blood-soaked grass.

And, yeah, maybe he should cut back on the strong stuff, but sometimes he swears he can see all that shit when he’s awake, too.

It isn’t until the King of Hawkins High himself sits down next to him and starts talking—as if they know each other, as if they’re friends—that Eddie begins to think that, Jesus Christ, something really is wrong here.

Because Steve Harrington just told him he was sorry. Said Eddie had been so brave. Had the words catch in his throat when he whispered, ‘I miss you’.

And Eddie, freak that he is, can’t quite convince himself that it’s a lie.

    Summary

“Greetings and salutations to you, Harrington!”

And there he was. Just as in your face and over the top as ever.

Only he looked… different. He looked like fucking Bon Jovi. Jeans so ripped they may as well just be shorts and a crop top and hair pulled back into a bun with loose bits falling around his face. In some weird way, the jeans almost seemed more revealing than shorts. They weren’t, of course, Steve couldn’t see the backs of Eddie’s legs or his left knee or either calf, but there was so much open ripping around his thighs that almost seemed more… teasing.

“Holy shit, I can see your whole face.” Steve mumbled out, lips parted in genuine surprise, instantly reaching out to try to touch the bun at the crown of his head.

    Eddie batted him away.

    OR

Steve agrees to help Eddie paint his trailer, but isn't prepared for the bisexual crisis it sends him spiralling into.

    Summary

this is almost the entirety of Eddie's poetry collection titled 'LYRICS' that is included in 'oh, happy dagger on sunshine bones'

the themes are heavy and intense, as the things Eddie goes through are awful, and so what he writes about isn't all sunshine and rainbows (though he writes about those, too)

truly, this is simply an amateur poetry collection, and while reading 'happy dagger' might help you understand it better, anyone is free to read this--though please mind the tags !! take care of yourself, please :)
