“I dunno, it was just there,” Balthazar replied, “Cool, right?”

The pair stayed like that for a while, staring at the plant in Maxime’s hand.

for Maxime.He manages to escape AVL's prison alongside Balthazar and Vector. They decide to get revenge on Gru, constructing a complicated plan in order to do so, but Maxime is against the idea.

He was met with the sight of a man. Blond, soft features, completely bare (but for the blindfold around his head), and covered in small cuts and bruises. His wrists were tied above his head, hanging from the ceiling by a taut rope, only his toes could slightly lessen the strain he must feel on his arms and shoulders, as they barely touched the cold stone floor. He was thin too, far too thin. Pale. Alone.
Even with all those inhumane cruelties, he recognized him as the hostage, Luke.
