Summary
Haled leans against the hard wall of the rink. A cigarette hangs loosely from his mouth, his eyes half-lidded as he watches the smoke spiral up towards the sky. The lights and music from inside the rink pour through the open door, hints of pink and blue reflected on the cement, the bass from some song which Haled has never heard humming beneath the sound of his ears ringing. There is no wind in Beit Hatikva. Everything sits and waits.

Ever wondered what an episode of The Sister Boniface Mysteries would look like if given a plot out of The X-Files? Look no further! Also featuring the Felix/Sam slowburn I desperately wanted and needed in my life, a delightfully plotty murder mystery worthy of an actual episode of this show, fun appearances from many of the zany residents of Great Slaughter, spot-on characterizations of everyone (and Sister B, in particular), and some original characters that I would love to see appear in other fic because I became so attached to them.
