Their last stop before sailing to Ka Bue? Somewhat fittingly, it was the first city that Mirabelle entered on her quest: Jouvente, the birthplace of their resident fighter.Not that you could tell from the way he was acting - sure, he had mentioned plenty of the restaurants he was excited to treat them too, or his favorite landmarks he would take them to, but Isabeau had kept conspicuously quiet about the people from his past. If he didn't want to mention meeting up with any friends or family, well, that's his choice to make. Change knows his new family had kept larger secrets.
But just because Isabeau's more than ready to leave the cities' residents behind doesn't mean that they're finished with him. And some of them are of the opinion that he's long overdue for a family reunion...

You finally spot him running up to you through the crowds of people dancing and laughing. You relax for a brief second until you notice his pale face and his wide, worried eyes. You also note that he’s carrying a bundle in his hands. Upon closer inspection, you realize that it’s Siffrin.
You’re immediately on your feet.
“Isabeau.” You tuck your journal away and your drink tumbles to the ground. You ignore it. “What’s wrong?”
Isabeau slides to a halt before you, panting from sprinting to you. “It’s Siffrin,” he manages to squeeze out. “He won’t wake up.”

He was right. Donnie never froze. His mind wandered back to Meat Sweats’ tentacles, and the soft-shell shivered in disgust at the memory. Why was he acting like this? Raphael had been taken over by those disgusting fleshy things. Leonardo nearly lost his life. Why was it Donatello who froze in horror at the mere implication of being touched by those things again?Donnie snarled and ripped out the wire he was having trouble with. It was purple. Why was it always the purple wires that acted up first?
“Uh… Dee?”
Donnie shrieked and smacked his forehead against the inside of the panel, a fresh burst of pain running through his head. Crawling out from his little cave, he met the eyes of his youngest brother, who sported a look of guilt and poorly concealed amusement.

The two of them set out on a mission without the older brothers knowing in an attempt to prove themselves, not because Leo and Raph needed to be reminded of their capabilities, but because Donnie and Mikey need to remind themselves.
